Megan Fox

Violin / Viola

Megan Fox was born in Okinawa, Japan, and raised in Orange Park. As a toddler, Megan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She finished her treatments at the age of 5 and when Megan's parents asked her what she wanted to do now that she was cancer free, Megan said "I want to play the violin!" Without hesitation, Megan started violin lessons at WSOTA with instructor, Kyle Wehner, and continued throughout her senior year of high school at Douglas Anderson School for the Performing Arts, before receiving a music scholarship to attend Georgia Southern University. Megan has since returned to her home town of Orange Park and has been teaching at WSOTA since 2018. Megan actively performs around the state of Florida with artists and groups such as Mannheim Steamroller, The Who, Martina McBride and Michael Bolton. Megan has been featured on TV several times performing alongside the musicians of Wehner Weddings for Freeform's "Disney's Fairytale Weddings."

Megan enjoys volunteering for local nonprofit organizations in her spare time and is also a music instructor and camp counselor at "Camp Boggy Creek," which hosts hundreds of cancer survivors each summer.
