PETE WINDERS

Pete Winders has been teaching at Wehner’s since 1993. A native of Tampa, Pete settled in Jacksonville in 1989, studied Jazz at the University of North Florida, and began playing with a number of North Florida rock and Caribbean acts. From 2008-2011 he toured with surfer-turned-rocker Donavon Frankenreiter, playing on stages across the U.S., as well as Brazil, Europe, Japan, and Australia. Highlights of the tours included sharing the stage with John Oates, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and opening for Dave Matthews Band. Since 2012 Pete has played with Jacksonville Trop Rock artist Jimmy Parrish & The Waves. In 2018, he joined internationally known Southern Soul artist JJ Grey & Mofro, with whom he currently tours.
